IN recognition of their hard work throughout the pandemic, staff at Northwich Ambulance Station have received a sweet treat from local developer Barratt Homes.

All staff and volunteers at the centre were gifted boxes of Cadbury’s Heroes chocolates as a way to show the housebuilder’s appreciation for their hard work during the country’s vaccination effort.

The station is located close to the Barratt’s development on Shipbrook Road, Dane View, and there was so much chocolate that they were shared with hardworking staff at other ambulance stations in the county.

Darren Hatton, Acting Operations Manager for North West Ambulance Service Cheshire and Merseyside South West Sector, said: "Thank you so much to Barratt Homes for their kind donation to the North West Ambulance Service.

"The chocolates were distributed to all staff in the South Sector based at Northwich, Winsford, Crewe, Sandbach, Macclesfield, Congleton, Knutsford and Wilmslow."

Neil Goodwin, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: "Supporting local communities is absolutely key for us, and we wanted the staff and volunteers at the Northwich Ambulance Station, and members of the North West Ambulance Service’s South Sector, to know we are thankful for their hard work during this difficult time.

"With the service answering and attending hundreds of calls a day, we can appreciate how tirelessly the fantastic staff have been working to keep the local community safe.

"This small gesture of appreciation is to let our local heroes know that our community is grateful for them, and to encourage them to keep up the amazing work they’re doing."
