A 'NO-APPOINTMENT' Covid vaccine clinic is coming to Northwich on Monday.

The roving clinic, which will appear at other locations across Cheshire West, is first being held at Northwich Memorial Court on June 7.

No prior appointment will be needed, however as it will only be delivering the Oxford/Astra Zeneca jab, it is only suitable for persons aged 40 and over.

Each clinic will be open from 10am to 4pm each day or for as long as vaccine supplies last.

NHS Cheshire’s Covid-19 Vaccination Programme has been updated to reflect Phase 2 of the vaccination roll-out, specifically focusing on the introduction of a community outreach programme which will includes ‘pop up’ vaccination clinics and a roving unit (mobile “bus”).

The purpose of the offer is to target ‘hard to reach’ communities and areas with comparatively low vaccine take-up.

The vaccination clinics will be operated by the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust. The deployment of the clinics will be intelligence-led and determined on a week-by-week basis by council officers and health colleagues.

Currently vaccinations are only available at the roving clinics for the over 40s as the Astra Zeneca vaccine is being used, however it is hoped that a vaccine offer will soon be available to anyone aged over 18.

Those receiving their first vaccine at the clinic will receive details of their second dose appointment at that time.

Those attending for vaccination will be required to produce their:

  • NHS Number
  • Date of birth
  • Address
  • Email and phone number

The programme of clinics for week beginning June 7 will be:

  • Monday, June 7: Northwich Memorial Court, Northwich
  • Tuesday, June 8: 71 St Anne’s Street, Chester
  • Wednesday, June 9: Plas Dinas, Blacon Point Road, Chester
  • Thursday, June 10: Church Parade, Westminster, Ellesmere Port
  • Friday, June 11: Lache Community Centre, Hawthorn Road, Lache, Chester

Further dates will be posted on council social media posts and on the website as soon as they are available.
