MORE than 300 people tested positive for coronavirus in Cheshire in the space of one week, as the number of new cases rises.
In the seven days leading up to May 29 - the most recent period available at the time of writing - 301 cases were recorded.
This includes 107 in Cheshire West and Chester and 194 in Cheshire East.
This has risen drastically from 75 new cases across Cheshire in the week leading up to May 22, with 17 in Cheshire West and Chester, and 58 in Cheshire East.
Meanwhile, more than 784,000 people have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine in Cheshire, according to the latest data.
Across the Cheshire CCG area, an accumulative total of 784,900 jabs have been given out – including both first and second doses.
This is up from 747,206 the week before.
The data, which was released by NHS England on Thursday, also shows the percentage of people in each age group who have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.
Of the data available, this includes:
30-34: 49.1 per cent
35-39: 73.5 per cent
40-44: 88.8 per cent
45-49: 85.1 per cent
50-54: 93.2 per cent
55-59: 99.9 per cent
60-64: 100 per cent
65-69: 95.5 per cent
70-74: 98.9 per cent
75-79: 100 per cent
80+: 97.6 per cent
