FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours tackling a kitchen fire at a home in Barnton yesterday, Thursday.
Shortly after 9am, fire crews were called to reports of a fire at an address in Old School Close.
Two fire engines, from Northwich and Lymm fire stations, were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival they found the fire in a kitchen.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and used two hose reel jets and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.
The crews then used a large fan to clear smoke from the building and helped to salvage property from the address.
Firefighters were at the scene for around three hours.
