Hartford Hall in School Lane ready to open on June 12

Seasonal menus, cask ales, wines, cocktails and en-suite rooms await diners and guests from Saturday, June 12 at the Grade II listed building in School Lane, Hartford.

Originally a nunnery and former manor house dating back to the 16th century, Revere Pub Company has ensured many of the building’s original quirks, including charming oak beams and open fires, have been retained.

It will also feature a modern bar and dining space, complete with contemporary finishes, cosy nooks and bespoke furniture, as well as an extensive garden and covered outdoor terrace.

The seasonal menus will offer a variety of pub classics as well as an assortment of contemporary dishes.

Running alongside chargrilled steaks and sourdough pizzas, diners can sample a variety of dishes including spiced roast duck breast with pickled watermelon; chicken and red pesto rigatoni with Old Winchester mature cheddar; and roast cod loin with spicy chorizo, king prawns and Padron peppers.

There will also be Sunday roasts on offer, as well as meat-free options such as spiced carrot bhajis and curried cauliflower burgers with a cucumber raita and mango chutney.

Coupled with a collection of cask ales, an extensive wine list and a carefully crafted cocktail menu, Hartford Hall aims to be 'the perfect all-day drinking and dining destination for friends, families and visitors to Hartford'.

Opening at the same time as the pub space will be 20 en-suite rooms which showcase a blend of traditional and modern designs.

The spacious rooms will feature Nespresso coffee machines, Robert’s digital radios, White Company toiletries and Hypnos mattresses.
