A NURSERY in Northwich which had been suspended from providing childcare has had its suspension lifted by Ofsted.
The suspension related to Little Frogs Day Nursery and Pre School’s registration to provide childcare at 2 Watling Street following Ofsted's belief 'that a child may be exposed to a risk of harm and for any necessary steps to be taken to elimate or reduce the risk of harm'.
This was a temporary measure and Ofsted concluded that it was satisified with the action taken after further investigation and 'there is now no risk of harm to children'.
Ofsted had previously informed parents: “We will review the situation regularly and will lift the suspension within this period if we believe children are no longer at risk.
“We are looking into these concerns to ensure that children’s welfare is protected, and we will review the suspension in line with our policy and procedures.”
A spokesperson from Cheshire West and Chester Council said its Early Years team had been supporting families that attended the setting to find alternative placements for their children while it was closed.
The nursery was contacted for comment.
