FOUR fire engines were dispatched to an outbuilding near Northwich town centre to tackle a large fire yesterday evening, Friday.
Crews from Northwich, Winsford, Middlewich and Lymm fire stations attended the blaze at an agricultural shed on Leicester Street at 6.12pm.
Wearing breathing apparatus, they used jets and a hose reel to put the fire out, pumping water from the brook in Carey Park.
Once the fire was out, firefighters remained at the scene to damp the surrounding area down.
They were in attendance for three and a half hours.
