Lane closed on Winwick Road after dramatic car fire
THERE was congestion around Winwick Road this morning, Friday, following a car fire.
It happened around 9am on the Warrington bound carriageway.
Fire crews found a black Volvo on fire when they arrived.
A lane closure was in place which caused delays on the M62 roundabout.
The lane was closed while police organised recovery and deal with the fuel spillage.
Drivers were urged to find alternative routes.
No injuries have been reported. The road has now reopened.
