Led and supported by Chris Moseley, Cheshire West and Chester Council Ranger, the children have been enjoying a wide range of activities and making the most of the school's natural environment.

Deputy Manager, Rachel Oates says that the children really look forward to the sessions and while having a lot of fun, the activities also encourage them to work as a team, to take turns and help one another – all really important skills.

She said: "They are mesmerised by watching millipedes crawl across logs and the language development opportunities from this are endless.

"Of course, they love campfires, toasting marshmallows and den building but also creating and making things out of the natural resources that they find in our woodland."
