Three candidates are looking for your votes in the Cledford by-election.
Liberal Democrat Peter Hirst vows to bring a different and fresh perspective to decision making after serving on the Town Council between 1999 and 2015.
"We desperately need our Eastern Bypass and the reopening of our rail station," said Peter, who has one daughter and a grandson and has lived on Rushton Drive for 30 years.

He hopes more trees will be planted in the town.
"We must retain the friendly and welcoming ethos of our town and encourage the full reopening of our restaurants, cafes and pubs supporting our many annual events such as the FAB Festival," said Peter, who believes working in partnership with neighbouring councils benefits the town.
"I strongly support our police and crime commissioner's campaign for more localised policing with less central targets and more support for the victims of crime and anti-social behaviour."
