AFTER the stunning aerial drone shots earlier this week, Northwich BID have provided another tantalising glimpse at the town's new outdoor space.

Work on transforming the site of the old outdoor market has been carrying on apace in recent weeks.

Northwich BID are confident the work will be very close to completion this coming week with Cllr Sam Naylor saying its opening will coincide with further easing of restrictions on April 12.

The work on the temporary outdoor space is being done as a wider scheme to tidy and smarten up the Weaver Square part of the town centre.

Facades of empty business units that are very unlikely to ever be occupied in the future have also been given a very colourful lick of paint.

Northwich Guardian: Cllr Sam Naylor posted this picture of the empty units on Weaver Square which have also been given a colurful lick of paint.

In a social media post, Cllr Naylor said: "Smartening up Weaver Square remaining shops for opening of new open space which we are now scheduling to co-inside with opening up of town on April 12.

"Whatever happens we have got to be positive and forward looking to make Northwich a great place to be.

"Massive thanks to Adam Gerrard from Northwich BID, Chris Shaw and the Northwich Town Council team and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

"Onwards and upwards."

Northwich BID tweeted: "Here's how the new temporary outdoor space in Northwich was looking yesterday (March 31)

"There will be another exciting update next week so watch this space."
