A BURNING wheelie bin set fire to a garage.
Firefighters were called to Hewitt Drive in Winsford shortly before 1pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews used a hose reel to put out the fire which had spread to the garage.
"They continued to damp down the affected area and used a thermal imaging camera to check the temperature.
"They put a hose reel jet into the cavity wall to extinguish any embers to prevent fire spread while monitoring the temperature."

Firefighters warn residents to try and avoid placing bins, rubbish or other combustible items against the walls of a home.
A fire spokesman added: "These are a ready supply of fuel for an arsonist. Store wheelie bins away, especially at night, to stop them becoming a target for arsonists."
Two crews from Winsford and Middlewich dealt with this incident.
