A 74-YEAR-old man has been found dead by paramedics in Northwich town centre.
Emergency services were called to Barons Quay yesterday morning, Sunday, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Police confirmed: "Shortly before 7am on Sunday, March 28, police were informed by North West Ambulance Service of a man’s body being found on a service road at the back of Barons Quay in Northwich.
"Officers attended and discovered that the man had been pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
"He is believed to be a 74-year-old from Northwich.
"His family have been informed.
"Formal identification is yet to take place.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious.
"A case file will be prepared for the coroner."
