IF you’ve missed your live music fix over the past 12 months – and frankly, who hasn’t? – then Rare Vitamin Records Annual Diversion could be just thing you need post-lockdown.

Set to take place at The Salty Dog on July 17 this all-day event features an impressive line-up of bands connected to the indie label which was set up by Northwich music fan and Rare Vitamin Records founder, Jason Davies.

Chris Mundie, from host venue The Salty Dog, in High Street, said: “Rare Vitamin Records is all about new alternative music, there’s so much stuff happening now that doesn’t necessarily fit into one genre, people seem more accepting of other styles and approaches than a more tribalistic approach that has gone before.

“It’s great that music is progressing that way, it’s more open and accessible than ever and people are doing some really cool things.

“The label was set up with this in mind, and Jason has such a boundless enthusiasm for discovering new bands and obsolete formats so we wanted to reflect that in a nice day outside with some of the bands that Jason works with and some of the bands that have inspired him. The future of music is bright!”

The line-up for the event so far includes The Lovely Eggs, Virginmarys, Headsticks, Pagans SOH, iDestroy, Nervous Twitch, Kings Pistol and Kicked In The Teeth, Gardenback and Hazel’s Maze, with additions to the line up expected in the coming weeks.

The event runs from 12pm to 10pm and tickets, priced £25, are already on sale and available from http://skiddle.com/e/14024149
