A farmer feared bales of hot hay could catch fire and called firefighters
FEARS that bales of hot hay could catch fire have been allayed.
A farmer was worried that the hay would ignite in Acton Lane in Northwich and called firefighters at 4.50pm yesterday
Crews checked the temperature of the hay with a thermal imaging camera and gave the owner advice.
Firefighters returned to their fire station in Northwich once they were satisfied that the hay was safe.
Crews were at the scene were for around half-an-hour.
