THE A49 is closed both ways due to flooding.
The road is closed from the A533 Runcorn Road at the Tall Trees Junction, Lower Whitley to the B5144 West Road at the Weaverham roundabout, Weaverham.
Motorists are reminded that the A49 has been closed around the Acton Swing bridge since Wednesday night and needs to be inspected for flood damage.
Diversions are in place.
