CHESHIRE has woken up to heavy snow yet again this morning which has caused huge disruption to travel.

The Met Office issued a Yellow Warning for snow and ice yesterday and residents around Cheshire have seen why as they woke up to a blanket of snow and heavy snowfall this morning.

While some are continuing the fun in the snow on New Year's Eve, others have been left stranded by the disruption caused.

Manchester Airport is experiencing delays with some incoming flights said to be getting diverted to Birmingham.

Arriva Bus services in Winsford and Northwich have been cancelled due to the conditions.

Arriva North West said: "37 service Winsford to Crewe and 37a service Northwich to Sandbach. Due to the snow and ice on Station Road Winsford, we will not be serving these stops until the road has been gritted. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

According to The Met Office, the snow fall is not expected to continue throughout the day.
