VILLAGERS are staging Pickmere’s first Christmas market tomorrow, Sunday, to help get everyone into the festive spirit.

The market takes place between 11am and 3pm, and will consist of 13 stalls set up on people’s driveways.

“The aim of the market is to put a smile on people’s faces,” said Simon Read, who is organising the market with Naomi Petrou-Brown and Jane Norton.

“It’s another way of bringing the community together and cheering everyone up, and it will take about 25 minutes to walk the route between the stalls.

Northwich Guardian:

“The stall owners are looking forward to seeing you, from a social distance, and there will be a varied selection of stalls.

“Some have card machines and some need cash but please come out and visit everyone.

“It should be a fun event and a great way to start Christmas in Pickmere off with a bang.”

Items on offer from the stalls include cakes, mulled wine, Christmas decorations, art, wreaths, jams and relishes, antique goods and candles.

Any charitable donations will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
