ANOTHER 130 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed across Cheshire East and West in the new figures that have been released.
The latest data from Public Health England covers the 24-hour period up to 9am today, Tuesday, December 1.
In Cheshire East, including Knutsford and Middlewich, there were 72 new cases, only 12 more than the day before.
That takes the borough's total number of coronavirus cases so far to 9,034.
Cheshire West, including Northwich and Winsford, saw 58 cases confirmed, almost four times more than the previous day, taking the borough's total cases of Covid-19 to 8,998 since the start of the pandemic.
Lower daily case numbers on a Monday have been a common occurrence in the Public Health England data since figures were first released.
Infection rates for both boroughs are continuing to fall and cases have almost halved over the past two weeks.
