KNUTSFORD’S independent shops have created colourful Christmas window displays to welcome their customers back tomorrow following the second nationwide lockdown.
The businesses have been hit hard by the lockdown, and are seeking support from the townspeople in the crucial Christmas and new year sales period.

Ameilia Naylor, director of Nicholas Austen in King Street said: “Lockdown has hit small businesses very hard this time, and we wanted to get our Christmas windows in to add some cheer to the town.

Julia Chard from Mr Simms said: “We wanted to cheer up the Knutsford streets with our Christmas windows, and now the Christmas lights have been switched on it makes a massive difference.

Tara Kirkpatrick from Clarity Contemporary Jewellery said: “To celebrate 13 years since opening we’re offering 13 per cent off all jewellery in display when we reopen, and the 13 per cent off runs until Sunday, December 6.
