FIREFIGHTERS were called to a barn fire near Oswestry on Monday morning.
Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service was called to Wykey, in Ruyton-XI-Towns, at 10.13am.
Six fire engines were sent to the incident, including the light pumping unit and the water carrier, from Oswestry, Baschurch, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth.
An operations manager was also in attendance.
The fire involved around 30 one-ton haybales in a concrete-sided barn.
Crews used a hosereel jet and assistance from farm machinery to extinguish the blaze.
