A SERIAL thief has been jailed again after threatening ‘distressed’ supermarket staff with a needle, having only just been released from prison.
Aaron Isherwood was handed eight weeks behind bars at Warrington Magistrates Court on Monday, November 23, after admitting breaching a criminal behaviour order.
The 30-year-old, of no fixed address, was handed the CBO – which banned him from entering all shops in the town centre for a period of three years – in September after a spate of thefts.
He breached this order on Saturday, November 21, by entering the Aldi store on Bankside before making the threats after employees confronted him over suspicions that he was shoplifting.
Isherwood, who is also known as Aaron Birch, had just been released from a four-week imprisonment imposed on November 6 for stealing nearly £300 of Christmas goods from a B&M store – an offence which itself came only three days after a previous jail sentence.
Magistrates also ordered him to pay a £128 victim surcharge last week.
