CALLUM Gardner's late first-half strike proved to be the goal that takes 1874 Northwich into the second round of the FA Vase.
His goal after 44 minutes put the Greens in control at 2-0 against Harrogate Railway Athletic at Townfield.
Luke Weir's deflected shot had put 74 ahead after 16 minutes.
But only four minutes into the second half the visitors halved the deficit when Jacob Robertson was first to react to a rebound from a Tony Aghayere save.
Matt Russell came to 1874's rescue five minutes into added time when, from a free-kick, he cleared a looping defensive header from teammate Aaron Smith off the line.
