NEW homes are set to be built on the site of a community centre in Orford.
The land on Cotswold Road which formerly housed the Orford Neighbourhood Project, neighbouring the Poplars pub, has been vacant since the building was demolished in 2017.
Developer Urban Building and Developments Ltd has now submitted an application for building permission in order to create four semi-detached houses, each with three bedrooms, on the site.
Submission documents stated: “The proposed development would redevelop and rejuvenate a vacant site in a sustainable location within the area and bring it back into use.
“It would contribute towards the wider regeneration of this part of Warrington by adding four dwellings that would contribute towards the borough’s housing supply."
