A MAN is due in court this morning, Thursday, after an 81-year-old was attacked in Latchford.
Police say the pensioner was the victim of an 'unprovoked attack' last Thursday lunchtime.
It happened close to the Classic Home Improvement shop on Knutsford Road near Bridge Foot.
Yesterday, Wednesday, officers arrested a 29-year-old on Kingsway South in Latchford.
Officers have now charged the man.
Jack Brooke, aged 28, of Kingsway South in Latchford has been charged with assault.
Brooke has also been charged with criminal damage to a window in relation to another incident which occurred on August 2.
He is due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court later today, Thursday.
