ROADWORKS will cause some delays and disruption to drivers across Northwich this week, with a number of projects either ongoing or due to begin.

Here is a round up of planned roadworks which will affect motorists around town.

A49 Warrington Road, Cuddington

Drivers will need to be aware of two issues in the area this week, starting with temporary traffic lights from Wednesday to Friday near Glebe Road while BT engineers carry out work.

There will then be resurfacing work taking place at the Norley Road junction, with a road closure expected from 7pm Friday to Saturday.

A530 Griffiths Road and A559 Manchester Road, Lostock Gralam

Temporary traffic lights will be installed today and remain in place until January 15, 2021, near the Lostock Works junction on the A530 and the Griffiths Road junction on Manchester Road while council highways workers carry out work.

A533 London Road, Northwich

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place near the junction with Water Street until Tuesday while United Utilities carries out engineering work.

A533 Northwich Road, Dutton

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Wednesday and Thursday while the council’s highways team carries out work in the area.

A533 Winnington Lane and Winnington Avenue, Winnington

Long-running roadworks will end at this junction on Friday, following engineering work by Cadent. Temporary traffic lights will remain in the area this week.

A559 Chester Road, Hartford

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place near Hartford C of E High School until November 5 while Scottish Power engineers carry out work.

Ash Road, Cuddington

Temporary traffic lights will be in place from today until Wednesday while the council carries out resurfacing work near the junction with Golden Nook Road.

Blakemere Lane, Hatchmere

Temporary traffic lights will be in place until Friday while Scottish Power engineers carry out work near School Lane.

Bradburns Lane, Hartford

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place near the junction with Beach Road until November 20 while Cadent engineers carry out work.

Budworth Lane, Great Budworth

Part of Budworth Lane will be closed near Warrington Road on Friday, while Scottish Power engineer carry out work on overhead lines, with traffic diverted along Cock Lane.

Chapel Street, Wincham

United Utilities will carry out work from Thursday to November 2 near the junction with New Warrington Road.

Gadbrook Road and Shurlach Road, Rudheath

Lane closures will remain in place until November 13 at the Gadbrook Park junction while road improvement work takes place.

Hill Top Road, Acton Bridge

A stop and go sign will be in use on Tuesday while highways workers carry out hedge trimming to improve the width of the footway.

London Road, Leftwich

A small stretch of the road will be closed between the A533 junction and Dale’s Square from today until Friday while the council carries out resurfacing and lining work.

Kenmare Bank, Leftwich

Cadent gas engineers will be carrying out work opposite Emmanuel Church from Thursday until November 2.

Lydyett Lane, Barnton

BT engineers will be carrying out work in the lane from Thursday until November 2.

Marbury Road, Anderton

Temporary traffic lights will be in place from Wednesday to Friday while BT engineers carry out work near Anderton Boat Lift.

Norley Lane, Norley

A small stretch of the road will be closed north of Delamere Logs from today to Wednesday, with traffic diverted through Norley Road and Hollow Lane, in Kingsley.

School Lane, Hartford

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place near Old Vicarage Lane until November 5 while Scottish Power engineers carry out work.

Station Road, Delamere

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place near Eddisbury Hill while United Utilities carries out work until Wednesday.

Walnut Lane, Hartford

Temporary traffic lights will remain in place near the junction with Chester Road today, as United Utilities finish work in the area.
