MORE than 100 families have moved to a new housing development on Omega.

It is two years since the first show homes opened at the Taylor’s Chase estate and developers Redrow said more than 60 per cent of homes at the two developments, The Brook and The Oaks, Taylor’s Chase have been sold.

Sian Pitt, sales director at Redrow Lancashire, says: “When we launched The Brook shortly followed by The Oaks in 2018, we knew they would be hugely popular because of their location.

“Many of our customers either commute to Manchester or Liverpool for work or want to live close to amenities. Taylor’s Chase ticks a lot of boxes.”

Featuring a total of 236 new homes and a new play area, Taylor’s Chase is a key component of the wider Omega site.

The estate is close to the newly built Barrowhall Lane Primary School.

Following the national lockdown earlier this year, Redrow conducted a survey that revealed a quarter of UK movers have switched up their priorities for future homes.

Sian added: “Proximity to green open space is now the most important feature for home buyers, making developments like Taylor’s Chase even more appealing given the parkland and green space that is incorporated as part of the wider Omega venture.

”A quarter also agreed that finding a home within a strong community is more important to them after-lockdown. The survey actually showed this figure increased to a third of those aged 18 to 35, and 42 per cent for those who are either expecting a child or have young children under 10-years-old.

“At Taylor’s Chase, 50 per cent of buyers are 35 and younger so this just shows that we are catering to the needs of what those buyers want.”
