POLICE have issued a warning to residents in the north of the borough over vans being targeted in the area.
According to GMP Bury North, white transit vans have been targeted in store car parks in Ramsbottom and Tottington.
Police did not say what specifically was being targeted in the vehicles.
They further advised people to "be vigilant" over the break-ins.
There are several extra steps you can take in addition to leaving no expensive goods in your car.
Leaving sat nav mounts, suction cup marks on windows or cables on view gives it away that you have left a Sat Nav, smartphone or other device in your car.
Even if they can’t see the Sat Nav or iPad, someone might still break in to see if it’s stored in the car, out of sight.
