TWO men have pleaded guilty to trying to rob a taxi driver in Chester.
Michael Creevy, 46, and Philip Corbett, 45, both of Norman Way, Blacon, both admitted the two charges of attempted robbery and making off without payment when they appeared via videolink from HMP Liverpool at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, September 23.
The incident happened on Norris Road at around 2.30am on Thursday, August 27.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Creevy and Corbett were arrested at their home about 15 minutes later.
The case was adjourned and the pair will be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday, October 14.
Both were remanded in custody.
