A PERSISTENT thief has been jailed after stealing goods from two Northwich supermarkets in just three days.

Gary Lee Bloor, of Parkfield Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 8.

The 38-year-old – who also goes by the name Gary Blower – took two Xbox controllers and a Now TV stick worth a combined £90 from Asda, in Barons Quay, last Tuesday, September 1.

Bloor then paid Tesco, in Manchester Road, a visit last Friday, September 4 – where he stole whiskey to the value of £64.

He was sentenced to four weeks in prison, with the court ruling that Bloor has a ‘flagrant disregard for people and their property’.

Bloor’s previous record of offending was taken into consideration for his four-week prison sentence, as well as his guilty plea to both charges.

The court also ordered Bloor to pay £118 in compensation – £90 to Asda and £28 to Tesco.
