WITTON Albion played their first game since March last night – and it was one they could get plenty out of.
They drew 0-0 with National League North side Southport behind closed doors at Wincham Park as faces old and new pulled on the red and white stripes once again.
Newest addition Steven Tames missed out through injury but fellow signings Scott Bakkor, Josh Gregory and Isaac Baldwin all featured against the Sandgrounders.
Carl Macauley's side are back in action on Saturday with a trip to Bootle, again behind closed doors.
