A DISPERSAL order is in place along the Manchester Ship Canal after dozens of youths gathered in the area.
The 48-hour notice was put into place by Cheshire Police on Sunday afternoon for the area around the Penny Ferry and Latchford Locks.
More than 40 teenagers reportedly congregated near to the former, causing anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and jumping into the canal.
And the dispersal zone was put into place in order to ‘prevent any further disorder’.
Anyone seen breaching a dispersal notice can be arrested by officers.
