EIGHT volunteers helped clean up Studley Green estate in Trowbridge on Saturday (August 1).

They provided some helping hands to a clean up operation organised by Trowbridge town councillor Cllr Tom Bazan, the Tory member for the Lambrok Ward.

He said: “I had eight attendees including myself and we collected a large amount of rubbish from the area around Manor Road and Westfield Road.

“It was good to work together to make the area a better place for all.

"We just want to make the estate a better place.

"It seems that there is no regular street cleaning by Wiltshire Council of late, which means we have to do it ourselves, particularly in the public open spaces."

The next event will be next Saturday, August 8 at 10am and will involve clearance of rubbish and vegetation around Lambrok Brook.

The meeting point will be at the bus stop opposite Cavendish Drive. Equipment will be provided.
