A MAN is due in court accused of possessing a knife in a public place.
The 18-year-old male was arrested after police stopped a car on Chester Road in Nomans Heath, Malpas, yesterday evening.
He was subsequently charged and is due to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court today.
In a statement, Cheshire Constabulary said: "At around 6.40pm on Thursday 23 July officers stopped a car on Chester Road in Nomans Heath, Malpas.
"The grey Vauxhall Corsa and its occupants were subsequently searched.

"A 19-year-old man from Malpas was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
"He has subsequently been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
"Alex Thompson, of Chester Road, Nomans Heath, Malpas, was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
"The 18-year-old man has subsequently been charged with the offence.
"He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 24 July, via a video link."
