ONE of Warrington's most successful companies is set to make redundancies and close offices due to the impact of Covid-19.

But Optionis is also hiring for new roles in Warrington following a review of its business.

The Centre Park-based company was named by the Sunday Times as having some of the highest sales figures in the country last year.

The professional services provider featured on the 15th annual Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 in October.

But it is now carrying out a 'full review' of the company which an insider said lead to a considerable number of job losses and the closure of some offices.

The Centre Park based is not affected however and recruitment is currently under way for a number of roles in Warrington, the headquarters for two decades.

Doug Crawford, CEO of Optionis Group, said: “Across our organisation, we have been conducting a full review of our structure in order to get a better understanding of the size and shape of business we need to continue delivering the unrivalled service we've built our reputation on.

“Whilst our business remains strong and profitable, like the majority of businesses, we are continuing to feel the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on top of other significant legislative changes that directly affect our sector.

“As part of this review, there will be the creation of a considerable number of new roles across our UK sites and opportunities to add to our capability, but unfortunately, it will also mean a reduction in certain roles in areas across the business.

“We are already engaging with employees that will be affected by this change and we will do everything we can to support them during this difficult period.

“I also want to highlight that this review does not impact our ongoing commitment to Warrington, which is home to our UK headquarters. We’re proud to have operated from here since 2000 and it remains a key strategic location for our organisation.”
