AN investigation is underway after a small sinkhole appeared in Barnton over the weekend.
Cheshire West and Chester Council engineers were called out to Hayes Drive on Sunday, July 12, following reports of a sinkhole.
The team made the road safe before launching an investigation.
A CWAC spokesman said: "Over the weekend we received a report of small road collapse in Hayes Drive, Barnton. This was made safe and investigations were arranged regarding drainage at the site.
"Initial examinations of utility plans revealed United Utilities apparatus may be involved – we have passed this on to them this morning, July 13, to investigate further."
