A SET of talented musicians will be staging a live online music festival in aid of Mid Cheshire Foodbank.

Organised by Cheshire-based musician collective Acoustic Postcards, 100 per cent of proceeds will be donated directly to the foodbank to help those in need.

Artists will be performing acoustic sets from their home studios live on Facebook next Friday evening, with donations encouraged from ‘festivalgoers’ to make a positive difference to local families.

Everyone is invited to don their dancing shoes on and donate what you can to assist those most in need during these difficult times.

Nathan Pardoe, CWAC councillor for Winsford Wharton and volunteer with Mid Cheshire Foodbank, said: “Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have had twice as many people to feed and we need your support now more than ever.

“As the economic impact of Covid-19 accelerates, more people will have to turn to foodbanks.

“We would like to thank Acoustic Postcards for organising this fantastic event and supporting Mid Cheshire Foodbank.”

Northwich Guardian:

Musicians taking part include Human League keyboard player Benjamin Lee Smith, BBC Radio 2 Songwriter of the Year Lee Gordon, and Charlie Reader, who is fresh from working with Mumford and Sons.

The event will be held on Friday, July 17, from 7pm at facebook.com/events/886139895217104
