MORRISONS staff in Stockton Heath have come up with an easy new way of encouraging people to donate to Warrington Foodbank.

With Covid-19 still having a huge effect on people's jobs and incomes, the foodbank is desperately trying to support as many people as possible.

Jenny Bloor and Liz Davies, community champions at Morrisons Stockton Heath, have put together ready-made bags of essentials which their customers can add to their shop and donate.

Jenny explained: "I asked the foodbank what they really needed and put these items together in brown bags, all at different prices ranging from 53p up to £1.60.

"So, as customers enter the store they pick up a bag, the items are scanned at the till when they check out, and then the customer puts the bags into the foodbank trollies on the way out.

"This will hopefully get more items for the foodbank, and everything will be what they need."
