STAFF at Lostock Lodge Care Home have been rewarded for their dedication and sacrifices to help vulnerable people during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The residential home in Lostock Gralam is operated by Country Court, which has provided each team member with a thank you hamper.

At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Kachra family which owns Country Court delivered a care package to every member of staff, containing food, drink and basic provisions to help with day to day life while supplies were scarce.

And this latest gift package includes treats to enjoy at the end of a working day, including prosecco, chocolate, jelly beans, shortbread and shea butter moisturising hand cream.

Alykhan Kachra, CEO of Country Court, said: “Our staff have been amazing throughout this pandemic, putting our residents before themselves and their own families.

“Many have worked long hours and extra shifts, so we felt that they deserved a treat, and this would be a great way to say thank you and to acknowledge the sacrifices that people continue to make.”

The thank you gifts have been well received by care home staff, with home manager Allison Kennie commenting: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the Kachra family for the lovely gifts, generosity and continued support.

“The pandemic has been challenging for everyone, but here at Lostock Lodge we are very proud of all our staff and their continued hard work to keep our residents and each other safe.”

Country Court chairman Abdul Kachra added: “We want to thank every single member of staff in our care homes for their continued commitment.

“We hope that this token of our appreciation will be a nice treat that they can take home and enjoy at the end of a hard day’s work.”

Gift hampers have been presented to staff working in each of Country Court’s 32 nursing and care homes across the country.
