After numerous reports of scrambler bikers and quad bikes riding through city centre parks and public footpaths, Cumbria police have issued a Section 39 warning to one rider.

Section 39 warnings consist of a 12 month notice on the rider and the vehicle.

If the rider is caught riding any bike in an anti-social manner that bike will be taken away.

If the bike the warning was issued on is caught being ridden by anyone in an anti-social manner it will be taken away.

If you are asked to stop, while riding in parks or on public footpaths, failing to do so for any offer including a PCSO is an offence and this will be added to any offences already committed.

You will be identified and you will lose your bikes if you continue with this behaviour.

Cumbria police say they will continue to crack down on issuing warnings.
