Official figures show that four more cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Cumbria.
Public Health England figures show that 2,298 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am Wednesday morning (July 1) in Cumbria, up from 2,294 the same time on Tuesday. A week before, there were 2,280 cases.
It means cases have increased by less than 0.5% over the last 24 hours, on a par with the rate of increase across the UK.
They were among the 27,340 cases recorded across the North West, a figure which rose by 37 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
Across the UK, 313,483 people had tested positive for coronavirus as of 9am on Wednesday, up from 312,654 at the same point on Tuesday, Department of Health and Social Care figures show. As of 5pm on Tuesday, 43,906 had died.
