PUBS and restaurants across Northwich will be opening their doors again when lockdown is eased on Saturday, July 4.

Residents across town are spoilt for choice when it comes to the number of places to grab some food and drink.

Fortunately, dozens of businesses in Northwich had already made public safety a top priority before the coronavirus pandemic.

As part of the Guardian’s Backing Local Business campaign, we’re giving a shout out to all the cafes, pubs and restaurants across town that have a five-star food hygiene rating.

Northwich Guardian:

That is the top ranking possible, meaning hygiene standards were rated as ‘very good’ by Cheshire West and Chester Council’s inspectors.

Some businesses listed below may not be ready to open safely yet, while some are taking advance bookings and may already be full, so check with each business before heading out this weekend.

Cheshire West and Chester Council expects 75 per cent of bars and restaurants will reopen on Saturday, but their capacity will be limited due to social distancing measures remain in force.

Meanwhile, many businesses will be cashless and only accept contactless payment, and customers may also be asked for their names and addresses to be recorded as part of the track, test and trace measures to manage any future spikes in Covid-19.
