A BARN has been demolished at an Antrobus farm where a huge fire broke out over the weekend.
Firefighters had spent more than 44 hours at the secene, in Nook Lane, by the time they were able to leave late on Sunday night.
Crews from Warrington, Lymm, Stockton Heath and Birchwood were sent out at 2.08am on Saturday to find two barns – measuring 60 metres by 20 metres – were well alight.
They used four hose reel jets to tackle the fire and prevent it spreading to a number of other nearby buildings.

Firefighters also moved bales of hay and farm equipment from the building and isolated the electricity at the site.
After making the site safe, the crews also set up two main jets to help fight the fire.
Separate crews from Northwich and Lymm arrived on the scene at 7am on Saturday to take over the job.
They began work by using a hose reel jet, 45mm jet and a main jet to keep tackling the fire.
Firefighters agreed to let the fire to burn in a controlled manner due to one of the farm's burning barns being structurally unsafe.
They used a main jet to prevent the fire from spreading and were damping down the site throughout the day.
Crews from Penketh and Birchwood attended the scene on Saturday evening and continued the job overnight, before firefighters from Lymm took over at 8.30am on Sunday.
They kept the blaze under control, using a 45mm jet to cool the site, and liased with the owner of the barn to plan a safe demolition.
Once it was safe to do so, the demolition company used a mechanical digger to remove all of the contents from the barn, while firefighters used two hand jets to dampen the building.
Firefighters finally were able to leave the scene at 10.30pm on Sunday.
