RESIDENTS are being warned to expect queues at Northwich tip today, June 19, and consider alternative recycling centres.
It comes as the household waste recycling centre has been busier than normal in the past few days.
In a tweet, Cheshire West and Chester Council said: "Queues for Northwich recycling centre are likely to be long today.
"Please follow the site rules and queuing instructions. Other sites are open for you to use."
Other CWAC recycling centres open today include Winsford, Frodsham and Tattenhall.
The tip closed at the start of lockdown over coronavirus safety fears, but reopened on May 12 with strict social distancing measures in place.
It is currently open 9am to 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Residents are urged to only visit the site if it is absolutely necessary
