WINNINGTON Park RFC are doing their bit to support the NHS during these difficult times.

Several of Park's players and members work for the NHS and club chiefs say they are proud of them all.

"This is why we have teamed up with Macron Neath and Ray Pennock to produce a limited edition Winnington Park “THANK YOU NHS” t-shirt," said a club spokesman.

"All the profit made from the t-shirts is going straight to the NHS.

"These are priced at £15 and will be delivered for free or made available for collection from the club when the Covid-19 pandemic restriction regulations allow.

"These are available to order now and designs and sizes are available to view on the club website at wprfc.com

"Although a minor gesture we hope this shows our club's thanks to all those working for the NHS during these unprecedented times."

Meanwhile, an RFU national roadmap has been released to support a return to rugby activity - which effects Winnington Park, Northwich RUFC and the area's schools and colleges.

Currently the sport is at Stage B on the map, which allows six individuals from different households to meet up and engage in individual training.

The two-metre social distancing rule still applies and if a coach is involved they are part of the group of six.

Equipment sharing (including balls) should be kept to a minimum and strong hand hygiene practice should be in place before and after.

As physical contact with anyone outside of your house is currently not permitted, playing of any games (small sided or full) is also not allowed.

Parents/carers observing a session at a distance from a safeguarding perspective is permitted.
