KINGSMEAD Parish Council is seeking the public’s help to celebrate those who go the extra mile for the community.
It is asking people to nominate their local heroes, who will eligible for a community award.
This is in recognition of the incredible community spirit that has come from the challenges faced due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Volunteers have been going out of their way to help people, including offering to support those residents isolating at home and those deemed to be vulnerable.
And Kingsmead Parish Council has decided to recognise these contributions with this special award.
You can nominate both outstanding individuals or community groups for a community award, but entries must be submitted before the deadline of Friday, June 26.
Nominations should be accompanied by a short explanation of why an award is deserved, so the council can decide who the award should go to.
They should also outline specific achievements and who has benefitted from the support given.
To submit a nomination, contact Sarah Morgan by emailing clerk@kingsmeadpc.org.uk or calling 01606 533858.
