A BOLTON man led police officers on a "peculiar" car chase during which he drove at speeds below 20mph, a court heard.
Appearing at Bolton Crown Court for sentencing via videolink from HMP Forest Bank, Suyahl Patel, 36, of Old Road, Bolton, had earlier pleaded guilty to charges of driving a BMW dangerously on Bury Road, refusing to stop, refusing to co-operate in a roadside breath test and failure to provide a specimen of breath.
All the offences took place on March 16, 2020.
Agreeing to an adjournment for a pre-sentence report, Judge Graeme Smith said: "Although it is a prolonged spell of bad driving it is also a peculiar spell of bad driving. It is possibly the slowest police chase I have ever seen with a defendant who actually stops at traffic lights and indicates.
"It is clearly not a normal police chase."
Patel will appear again on July 6, 2020.
