Rodbourne: A nail parlour which closed down in Rodbourne Road could become a tattooists.

A Mr Webb has applied to use 21 Rodbourne Road for his tattooing businesses, saying it will employ four full-time and one part-time staff. His application says there has been no interest in using the building for retail purposes since the nail parlour closed in March.

Greenbridge: BMW has been given permission to re-clad one of the smaller buildings on the site. The dark building will be re-clad and re-roofed in metallic silver material.

The German car manufacturer says the building will be “more in keeping with the surrounding buildings”.

Broome Manor: Luis Farai has applied for permission to turn a separate living space annex behind 10 Leamington Grove into a hairdressing salon.

He says it will only be used by his wife, who is a home-based and mobile hairdresser, and would be used between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday to Friday and a shorter day on Saturdays. It would only have one client at a time on the premises.

He says there are three to four parking spaces at the property already.

Tadpole Garden Village: Developer Crest Nicholson has been given permission to change the design of some houses and increase parking on one of its plots yet to be built.

And it has lodged applications to amend the types of houses to be built, and increase the number of homes on three plots. Whereas the permission the company has would allow it to build 56 houses on the thee sites, it would now want to increase that number by 12 houses.

Blunsdon: The builder of 52 houses on the former Thames Water site in the village’s High Street has been given permission to extend it’s working day.

Newland Homes had asked to be able to start work at 7.30am and go until 5.30pm on weekdays in order to “avoid school drop-off times.”

Wroughton: Plans to change a barn on a farm south of Wroughton to make it more suitable as a restaurant and conference venue have been given the go ahead,

Douglas White runs Overtown Farm in the south of the borough. He has already been given permission to turn the disused barn on the road to Barbury Castle into a café, restaurant and conference venue.

His plans to move the entrance to the building to the north of the building, to be easily accessible from the parking space, to glaze the existing western entrance to maintain daylight and clad the building in wooden panels have been approved
