ROBERTS Bakery is looking for Britain’s brightest budding home bread bakers to star in its new TV advert.

As part of its #ShareYourBakes national TV campaign, the Rudheath-based family bakery is asking people to send in videos or pictures of themselves alongside their bread creations.

Budding bakers will then be selected to appear in a special advert made up of the best, brightest and funniest posts on national TV on Friday, June 5.

“More of us than ever have got into home baking in recent weeks out of both necessity and pleasure,” said Megan Harrison, of Roberts Bakery.

“Rolling, kneading and mixing have a real calming quality which forces you to be present in the moment.

“This makes bread baking a real stress buster and a distraction from what’s going on around us.

Northwich Guardian:

“Studies link it to positivity and let’s not forget how good it feels to transform a few simple ingredients into a beautiful - and even not so beautiful - loaf. It’s a real source of delight.

“So, in our first national TV ad, we wanted to share these fabulous feelings with the nation.

“To celebrate home bakers everywhere - young and old, experienced and novice, tidy and messy - who are as passionate about baking bread as we are, show us what you can do.”

The TV campaign follows the recent launch of Roberts’ home baking kit, which is available to buy online at robertsbakerydirect.co.uk and delivered straight to your door.

And the product has already been embraced by celebrities such as Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha, Stephen Fry and Holly Willoughby, who have recently posted pictures of their freshly baked bread on social media.

For a chance of staring in the new advert, post your videos or images using #ShareYourBakes to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tag @robertsbakeryuk before midnight on Sunday, May 31.
