A CYCLIST was rescued from the bottom of an embankment in Winsford yesterday, Tuesday, by firefighters.
Just after 2.30pm firefighters received a report of a man on a bicycle having fallen down an embankment in woodland in the Grange Lane area.
On arrival the man was being assessed by paramedics.
Firefighters worked alongside the paramedics in putting the casualty on a longboard and taking him up to the top of the embankment to a waiting ambulance.
The crew then left the man in the care of the paramedics. Firefighters were in attendance for nearly an hour.
